The 59 Club, because of its linked history, has now teamed up with the ACE CAFE LONDON, to enable the Club to protect its future.

All memberships and regalia will need to be purchased through ACE CAFE LONDON.

Effectively, this will make life easier for members to be able to pay, either by debit/credit cards directly with ACE CAFE LONDON or via the internet using the email address:  the59clubATace-cafe-london.com

Price increases have been withheld for few years, but unfortunately due to rising costs, the prices have now increased slightly.  This would have happened regardless of any other changes. This partnership will allow the Club Leaders to concentrate on the Club, magazine and events.

The Club is still the original “59”, with the same Club Leaders and Council of Management. Meets continue to at the Clubhouse in Plaistow on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.

When the 59 Club was first formed everyone became a 'Lifetime Member' and were given a membership number which was theirs for life. By the mid 60's it was found that, due to running costs, the Club would not afford to survive on entrance fees alone and it was decided to charge members a yearly subscription fee (making them a 'Current Member').   Since then all members, including 'Lifetime Members',  have been required to pay their subscription fees yearly.

This money received and the support of its members along with the help of a  group of volunteers has allowed the 59 Club and it's ethos to survive.
